The Nights of Seduction - Chapter 1
On the plane, you’re all excited. You need to contact some of your Japanese penpals so you can meet up with them. The flight attendant notices your new to the airlines and speaks to you.
“You’re first time going to Japan?” She was friendly and smiling a lot.
“Yes. I will be there for a whole month.”
“Wow. That’s very long. I hope you enjoy your trip.”
“I definitely will.” You couldn’t get the big smile off your face. You get to see ARASHI! People would seriously die if they found our you get to meet them. You take out the ticket and backstage pass to make sure they aren’t fake. They’re not because someone next to you replies.
“Going to an Arashi concert?” a little Japanese girl asks.
“Yes. They’re really cute.” You respond to her.
“I agree! Aiba-chan is my favorite!” She says excitedly.
“You like them too?” You arch a brow because she looks so young.
“Yes! I’m from Japan and coming back from vacation.” She explains.
“Ah! How did you like the United States?”
“It was fun! I got to go all around with my family.” She said cutely. Her mother, next to her, nods and speaks to her daughter in Japanese. You wonder if you disrupted them in anyway. The little girl looks at you and tells her mother something after. You look back at your ticket and backstage pass. She pokes your arm and smiles.
“You should stay with us….”
“What? You don’t know me, though.” You’re surprised.
The mother speaks up, “It’s fine. You seem like a very nice person because everyone is scared to speak to my daughter.”
“She doesn’t seem like it.”
“So, as gratitude, please stay with us.” She bows her head.
“Oh… ok. Arigato!” You know some Japanese and luckily, you didn’t forget your Japanese guides. ~ This may help. Maybe I should let her join me for the concert. I’ll think about it further. ~
“What are your names?” You ask.
“I’m Mayumi and my daughter is Riko.”
Riko looked through her little bag and took out an Arashi pen. She shows it to you and you like it a lot. You remind yourself to pick one up while your there. “My mom doesn’t let me get anything. I love Arashi!”
“I love them too! At least, you can understand them better than me.”
“You’ll get the language soon. It’s not hard at all when we can help you.”
“Hai!” You say since it’s easy to say.
The flight was pleasant because you were listening to your IPod with the little girl. You both sung the songs softly. Nothing could stop you now since you were too excited. The plane lands at the airport and you’re dying to get out since it was a long flight. You wanted to go around Japan because you think that a month is not enough to go everywhere. Riko takes your and her mom’s hand when getting off the plane. You all get your luggage at the baggage claim and then wait for a taxi. At this point, you take your travel and language guides out just in case even though Riko and Mayumi will speak for you.
You get to their home and astonished. It’s what you always wanted to stay in. It was a small house but it seemed good for them. Riko wants to show you her room and drags you up the stairs. Her room is full of Arashi and anime posters. This is the room you’d love to wake up in. You still can’t believe she’s 10 years old and think that she’s spoiled. In reality, you’re jealous she has everything you want. You can’t say that now. You have the credit card and you’re in Arashi’s homeland. The posters display the glowing red eyes like you saw back at home.
“Do you see their eyes are red in this poster?” You point to it.
“No.” Riko checks and sees nothing.
“Maybe I’m colorblind.” You blink.
“Every time someone says red eyes I think of a story my mommy told me.” Riko sits on her bed.
“Story? What’s it about?” You’re curious.
“When a person says he or she sees red eyes on another person, that person has a vampire sense. They can tell they’re vampires and may have to kill them.”
You gasp, “Really? Is it random?”
“No. My mommy explained the person is chosen by them to seduce or hunt.”
You gulp, “Seduce or hunt? Does that mean they want to kill?”
“I’m not exactly sure. It may mean they want to catch the person and make his or her their own.” Riko explained further.
You’re impressed on how smart she is, “Hhhmmm… That’s interesting. I think I’m just tired and not used to this time.” You lie because now you need to research this since it’s beginning to get to your mind.
“Okay. It seems you look worried.” Riko gives you a doll.
“Arigato.” You bow your head. “I should talk to your mom. I’ll be back.” You go downstairs and see Mayumi cooking dinner.
“Do you need help?”
She turns around and smiles, ‘If you want to help.” You gladly accept her offer and help her cook some fish, rice and miso soup. After, you have dinner with them and help clean up. Mayumi shows you a room to sleep in. It’s got a futon in and that was it. It was good enough for you since you’re going to go around Japan.
You speak to Mayumi before going to be about what to do around Japan and where to get your US dollars converted in yen. She’s really sweet and tells you places to go. Then you decide to trust your gut and ask her about what Riko said.
“I was talking to Riko about a story.”
“What kind?”
“A vampire one.”
“How did that come up?” Mayumi looked at you funny.
“My eye sight is probably bad but I saw red eyes on a poster of Arashi.”
“….. Well… that could be a bad sign.”
“Could you explain the whole story to me?” You were desperate to know a bit more.
“It was a story told to me by a senior of mine. He told me a long time ago, vampires roamed Japan in secret. They lived amongst the people and if were found out, they were killed instantly. Apparently, if anyone saw the red eyes, he or she were the chosen one…. That person had the ability to shed light to them. That meant he or she were born as a half vampire half human.”
“Half and half? How can that be if I’m not born in Japan?” You really don’t know how to respond.
“Immigration which was explained in your history courses back home.”
“Wait…. That may make sense now…” You realized.
“So, when someone realizes what he or she really is, then that person may train himself or herself to be a vampire hunter.”
“What happens if not?”
“Then, you either die or have to figure out how to be in peace with pure vampires.”
“If there are halves out there, then wouldn’t there be a sense to them?”
“No. It’s unusual, but this was only a story I heard.”
“Oh boy. I’m screwed.” You mumble to yourself.
“I don’t think you are a half. You’re friendly and not intimidating.” Mayumi handed you a cup of tea.
“Arigato. I appreciate that.”
“Why don’t you go to bed? It’s been a long day.” Mayumi suggests. You agree and say good night to her and Riko. Before you go to bed, you lie on the futon in thought. ~ Half vampire, half human? So, I may have the ability to find vampires. Why Arashi out of all people? Why do they have to have the glowing red eyes? This is annoying. I love them so much. Ugh…. I don’t know what I would to do if I ever met them. ~ You drift off to sleep into deep thoughts.
Three days later….
You’ve seen Ebisu Garden Place because it’s from one of your favorite Japanese dramas – Hana Yori Dango. When you look there, you giggle and think of Makino and Domyoji. You wished you were there to see the filming and meet the F4. You sit there and realize how peaceful it is. No wonder they wanted to film part of their scenes there. No one really bothered you and decided to look up at the sky. It was a clear day and everything was going perfect. You take pictures and then go to your next location.
The AU stores were nearby and decide to visit because Arashi endorsed their service. You decide to pick up one of the phones as a souvenir. They also give you one of the pamphlets that have Arashi on it like the one you saw online. You bow tremendously and walk out of the store with a big smile on your face.
You meet up with a couple of your Japanese penpals to walk around Tokyo. You’ve all hit every bookstore to search for manga and books. The big things you wanted had anything Arashi related of course. You actually picked up a ton of magazines and manga that you’ve always wanted since it takes long to ship from websites. At an internet café, you talk to one of them about the red eyes situation.
“Have you heard the story of people who vampires?” You ask.
“Yes. They people with this ability can give peace to the vampires.” Your penpal responds.
“Why is that?” You look at your magazine you bought and still see them.
“From reading online, there was never a success. The person who has the ability can make the vampire fully human.” He or she checks a website.
“How? If the person with the ability is half human, half vampire, isn’t there really a way to make both fully human?” You decide to look at the computer in front of you as well.
“Here!” He or she points to the monitor, and you look over quickly. You read it and see there’s even a ceremony.
“This looks like a ritual. It’s like she’s gathering them all at once and then…” You point out the picture.
“…..ummm…. she gives her blood to each of the members and it has to happen at a certain time.” You penpal reads out.
“I don’t know if I want to know anymore.” Your face has an expression of disgust because it says that the girl has to sleep with each member separately without getting bitten.
“You asked.” You friend smirked.
“I know. Ok… let’s just think of happy thoughts now…” It lingers your mind for a while. You decide to leave and go to another place. It was something you didn’t want to think about anymore.
You find the dango shop that was in Hana Yori Dango as you walk around. You take out your camera quickly and take many pictures. A lady comes out and smiles. She rolls her finger for you and your penpal to come over. It’s really a sweet store. First impression is that it’s more packed than how they had it in the show. Still, you come out of the store with a bag full of really good Japanese sweets.
The next day….
Tonight is the night to see Arashi live and meet them. You told no one about your extra ticket. During lunch, you bring it up at the table.
“Mayumi-san?” You look at her.
“Hai?” She responds.
“Can I ask you permission for something?”
“Sure. What is it?” She looks at you, worried.
“Can I take Riko with me to the Arashi concert tonight? I have an extra ticket and backstage pass to give.” A big smile forms on your face.
Riko’s eyes widened and she begs her mother. Mayumi smiles and tells her to calm down. You tell her that you’ll take the responsibility if anything happens, and she’ll take good care of her.
“Okay. Please don’t let her walk away.” Mayumi nods.
“YAY!!!” Riko jumps up and dances around. She goes upstairs quickly and gets ready. You help Mayumi clean up as Riko gets ready. After, you run upstairs to make sure you have everything you need: tickets, backstage passes, lanyards to put around each other’s necks, camera, credit card, yen, etc. After about 15 minutes, you both come downstairs at the same time with your backpacks to put stuff in. Mayumi waves goodbye, and you walk with Riko to the train station. You get the venue where the concert is being held and see a lot of fangirls all gathered. You try to go to the merchandise booth but girls are pushing you around. You sigh and just wait in the line to get in cause it’s too much. Since you have backstage passes, you’ll be able to meet them and takes pictures. You don’t really need the merchandise that bad. Riko starts humming her favorite song, ‘Love So Sweet’. You had your IPod on the whole time to not notice. The line starts moving, and you wonder how the backstage passes work. A guard sees you and Riko have one and pulls you aside. He leads you to the back where Arashi is relaxing for a bit. No one else is there except you and Riko. Your eyes widen, wanting to melt into a water puddle. They were gorgeous. They were working practicing their songs as you both watched. They’re voices were perfect. Sho Sakurai is the first to notice you. The guys were wondering why and all turn around. You want to faint but that would be bad. Your heart starts beating fast as they all approach you. Riko passes out from the excitement, and you hold onto her.
“I’m sorry. I guess she got really excited…” You speak in Japanese.
“No problem.” Satoshi Ohno smiles at you.
You don’t know whether to faint or scream, “Ehhh.. I think I need to get her on a couch or so. Do you have one here?” You lift her and carry her on your back.
Jun Matsumoto points to a couch and watches you, licking his lips. He smirks and wonders about you. Masaki Aiba whacks him on the shoulder and knows what he’s thinking. Jun droops his head and crosses his arms. Kazunari Ninomiya watches too, and Sho just shakes his head.
“Would you all stop staring at her?” Sho finally says. You don’t notice cause your trying to wake up Riko.
“What? She’s not from here which makes her exotic…” Jun looks back at the others.
“Still, Sho-kun’s got a point. We should stop staring.” Ohno agreed.
“It’s kind of strange but I feel something unusual about her….” Aiba thought out loud.
“Eh? What do you mean?” Sho was curious.
You get back over to them and don’t know if you want to faint still. They’re so close and in range to be touched, hugged, etc. As you look at them, all their eyes appear to be red. You decide to ask, “Do you guys wear red contacts by any chance?”
“Why?” Jun didn’t get why but his eyes were normal.
“Uhhhh…. Never mind….” You look down. Your heart is pumping so fast.
~ Interesting. She sees right through us… ~ Sho thinks.
“Anyways, my name is [fill in the blank]. Nice to meet you all.” You introduce yourself to them. Then, even though you know them, they introduce themselves to you.
“I hope you enjoy tonight’s show.” Aiba bows.
“Yes… I definitely will.” You say nervously.
“Where are you from?” Jun asks.
~ Wow… he’s really straightforward. ~ “I’m from [fill in the blank].” You answer.
“I see.” Nino taps his chin. You really want to take your camera out to take pictures but know it’s prohibited because of the Johnny rules. The manager comes out and tells them to get on stage since it’s time.
“We’re sorry. We better leave now. I hope we see you again.” Ohno winks at you. You bow and cannot believe you spoke to them. After 5 mintues, you realize you need to wake up Riko and try again. She finally wakes up and sighs since she didn’t get to talk to Arashi. Then you both run to your seats and watch the concert. Throughout all the energy of Arashi and the crowd, you still cannot cope w/ the red eyes that appear to you only.
